DRIFTWOOD SCULPTURES

'Driftwood Fish made Wilcox a household name across the Mornington Peninsula, swimming their way into the homes of art collectors from Hong Kong to London. '

CHARLES WILCOX

DRIFTWOOD SCULPTURES

Charles hikes, dives and explores the most rugged and remote coastlines of the east coast of Australia, travelling as far as Cape York, where he charters light aircraft to give him access to the most isolated beaches.

He selects materials that are shaped by the harsh elements of the Australian environment to use in his artworks. Washed-up driftwood, flotsam and jetsam found by chance on a secluded beach that survives a journey across vast oceans.
